Shared Mobility gets a national voice

On the initiative of the TCS Mobility Academy, 14 renowned players from the world of shared mobility are meeting today, 15 December, in Bern to found the "Swiss Alliance for Collaborative Mobility", or CHACOMO for short. With CHACOMO, a new industry association beyond the established interest groups of MIV and public transport is being created with the aim of establishing the sharing of vehicles, journeys and infrastructures as a central building block of sustainable overall mobility in Switzerland.

Under the coordination of the TCS Mobility Academy, 14 providers of shared mobility services have agreed in recent weeks to found a new association in order to better represent their interests in political discourse and public opinion-forming in the future. The founding members are: Mobility Carsharing, Uber, AMAG, Lime, Tier, Voi, PostBus, edrive carsharing AG, Swiss E-Car, 2EM, PubliBike, Parcandi AG as well as TCS and its mobility academy with its eCargobike sharing service "carvelo2go".

Other providers of car, ride, bike or micro-mobility sharing services as well as all other mobility platform operators in passenger transport are called upon and cordially invited to commit to sustainable - because shared - mobility by joining CHACOMO. How the new association intends to position itself in the Swiss transport world in the future is set out in its "CHACOMO Charter", which was adopted at the founding meeting.
